About Stacey & Kelli

Stacey and Kelli opened the uPaint doors for the first time in July of 2013 in Plainfield Indiana. Stacey fell in love with the paint your own pottery concept while living in southern Indiana.

One day she posed the business idea to Kelli and the rest is history. Fast forward to today, uPaint has been spreading the pottery painting love to areas of Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio.

We have the answers!

  • That all depends on you! Some painters stay for hours painting and designing their piece(s). Others, including some small children, are finished more quickly. The average painter takes between 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete.

    It all depends on the piece you select, your design, how detailed you are, and how much time you have! You are welcome to paint for as long as you like.

    If you are not able to finish in one sitting, no problem. You can take your piece home and return anytime to complete the project.

  • No! You are welcome to visit anytime we are open to paint pottery. Reservations are not required but we will accept them for groups of six or more.

    Even if we have a birthday party in the party room, we have plenty of room in the main studio for you to paint.

    Please be sure to arrive at least one hour prior to closing so that you have plenty of time to complete your masterpiece.

  • We are pleased to offer non-toxic paints and glazes of the highest quality.

    The finished pottery pieces are food safe but should not be put in the microwave or dishwasher.

  • uPaint To Go! Buy the pieces of pottery you wish to paint, pick colors of paint to take home and enjoy painting in the comfort of your own home.

    After you’ve finished your designs, bring it back to us and we’ll fire it for you at no additional cost. Contact us today to learn more!

    We are only able to fire pottery that has been purchased in our studio and decorated with paints purchased from us due to kiln safety measures.
